Head Coach Valencia Wilson

The purpose of Lee Magnet High School’s Girls’ Basketball program is to provide opportunities, not otherwise found in the curriculum, that will contribute to the students' physical, emotional, psychological, and sociological development.


Coach Wilson believes in developing leaders and promoting discipline on and off the court. She is committed to building a championship team that gives total effort while exhibiting character and class. Her philosophy is “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” She holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Kinesiology (University of Louisiana Monroe) and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management (Northcentral University).  


Coach Wilson joined the Lee Magnet High family August of 2016. This school year marks her tenth-year coaching at the high school level where her overall record is 211-74. Coach Wilson has been named Coach of the Year four times and in 2019, earned Lee Magnet High School’s first girls’ basketball state championship.
